We Need Volunteers!

The Shakespeare Festival is manning a soda booth at the St. Louis Art Fair (Sept. 7-9, 2007) and we need some people to help us sell some soda to all those thirsty art-seekers!

The shifts are short (2-3 hours) and then you're free to wander around the amazing fair that covers over 8 city blocks!  If you're curious about the Art Fair, go to their website and check it out!

We still need volunteers for the Saturday and Sunday shifts.  If you're interested, e-mail info@sfstl.com and let me know your schedule!

So help the Festival raise some money and get your culture on - get ArtLinked!

Outta Site Arrival Instructions

For all the ArtLink members attending the Outta Site party at Laumeier tonight, here are some directions for how to get to the ArtLink VIP parking, and how to catch your golf cart shuttle that will take you on a tour of the sculptures, and then on to the private party.

Laumeier Sculpture Park is located near I-270 and I-44, 16 miles and 20 minutes from the Gateway Arch. From I-44 Eastbound or Westbound, exit at Lindbergh Boulevard. (Exit 277B), drive 1/2 mile south to Rott Road (turn right), proceed 1/2 mile west to the park entrance (on the left) at 12580 Rott Road.

We wanted to alert you to a couple traffic issues that will hopefully make your arrival a bit easier.  The ongoing Highway 40/I-64 project is scheduled to completely shut-down the highway in both directions between Skinker and Hanley from 7:00pm Friday night until late on Sunday.  Plan to use I-44 or I-270 to reach Laumeier with minimal delays.

To help with pedestrian access to the Movies + Music event, the street in front of Laumeier will be one-way (westbound) Friday night.  Please follow Rott Road west from Lindbergh Boulevard to gain access to the main entrance and VIP parking.  No left turn onto Rott Road from Geyer Road will be permitted.

At the main entrance, our attendant will direct you to the VIP parking lot and the check-in tent for the event where you’ll catch your golf cart shuttle.  Feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets if you’re planning to stay for the movie.  You can leave those items in your vehicle and pick them up when the shuttle returns you to the check-in tent for a short stroll to the amphitheater.

The weather is calling for cooler temperatures so dress casual and comfortable.

We look forward to having you at Laumeier for an Outta Site evening!

See Grand Center Grow

Whether you live near Grand Center or not, surely you know it is a gem that has long been home to many arts organizations and neighbors Saint Louis University.

In an effort to bring the area back to a place where the arts organizations can flourish and become a destination for vistors and locals-

McCormack Baron Salazar and Saint Louis University seek to develop University-owned property on the northeast corner of Grand and Lindell boulevards. The development is slated to include retail, entertainment, office space and residential condominiums on a 4.3-acre site.

Many details of the project are yet to be determined, and they are gathering input from a variety of thoughtful individuals (like you) in order to create a final plan.

They would love input from ArtLink members.  Even if you aren't interested in buying a condo at this location, answers to the survey will help them better understand how to develop the property.

All responses will remain anonymous.

Please click on the link below and take a few minutes to respond to the survey.

Happy Summer,
