This Friday there will be an arts event that you'll not want to miss - early in the evening on Friday, September 29, Grand Center (home to the Contemporary, the Fox Theatre, the Sheldon, and an abundance of galleries) will be crawling with arts lovers.
First - We're hosting a free gallery walk from 5:30 - 8:30 where the Contemporary and other arts galleries will be open for enjoyment. Many will be serving refreshments and there'll be a street fair along Washington with all sorts of performers. Galleries are also providing a handy map that you can get stamped and hand in for some great prizes, including concert tix, gift certificates and a new nano. You can also take this handy stamped card to the Contemporary during the ArtsLounge (after the gallery walk) for free drinks (including delicious Starbucks Mochatinis. . Yum!).
Secondly - Check out the Contemporary's Artlounge for the hip, after-event place to be on Friday (8-11pm). The Contemporary's space turns lounge-like for the evening and DJ Andrew will set the mood and then kick it up a notch as the night goes on. Check out our new art, some taste music, and drinks in the chillest environment around.
There's no cover, a cash bar, and those tasty free drinks for those who go gallery hopping early. Email me with questions. See you all soon! (Jen)
